Anti-Spam Policy

Our commitment to responsible, permission-based communication.

Our position on spam

AI Upside Group is firmly opposed to unsolicited commercial communication of any kind. We believe that trust is the foundation of every business relationship, and sending unwanted messages destroys trust. This policy applies to all communications sent by AI Upside Group — including email, text messages, phone calls, social media messages, and any future communication channels.

What we mean by "spam"

We define spam as any commercial message sent to a person who has not explicitly opted in to receive it. This includes purchased email lists, scraped contact information, unsolicited bulk messages, and any message sent without the recipient's clear, affirmative consent.

How we communicate with you

AI Upside Group will only contact you by email, phone, or text if at least one of the following is true:

  • You filled out a form on our website (AI Readiness Assessment, contact form, discovery call booking, or newsletter signup)
  • You booked a consultation or service engagement with us
  • You signed up for the Advance Reader Team or book launch notifications
  • You purchased a product or service and agreed to receive related communications
  • You gave us your contact information in person at an event, meeting, or workshop and explicitly agreed to follow-up

SMS consent and confirmation

For this GoDaddy SMS campaign, website opt-in is not used. When someone reaches out to AI Upside Group via SMS for the first time, they are automatically sent the following opt-in confirmation message: “Thanks for reaching out to AI Upside Group. Please reply YES to confirm you're willing to receive texts from us.”

No recipient is treated as opted in for ongoing text messages unless they reply YES to that confirmation message.

Recipients may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for assistance. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

What we will never do

  • Purchase or rent email lists
  • Send unsolicited bulk email
  • Use deceptive subject lines
  • Hide the unsubscribe option — Every marketing email includes a clear, working unsubscribe link
  • Sell or share your contact information
  • Make it hard to stop hearing from us — One email or one click is all it takes

Your rights

  • Unsubscribe at any time — Click the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply with "unsubscribe"
  • Request deletion — Ask us to delete all of your contact information from our systems
  • Ask what we have — Request a copy of any personal information we hold about you
  • Report a concern — If you believe you received an unsolicited message from us, contact us immediately

CAN-SPAM Act compliance

AI Upside Group complies fully with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). All commercial emails include a valid physical address, a clear identification of the message as an advertisement (when applicable), and a functioning opt-out mechanism. We process all opt-out requests within 10 business days as required by law — though in practice, we aim for same-day removal.

Report spam

If you believe you received unsolicited communication from AI Upside Group or from someone claiming to represent us, please report it immediately:

A personal note

I've been in technology for over 30 years. I've seen the evolution of email marketing from a useful tool to a firehose of noise. I named my first company "The Personal PC" because I believe technology should serve people individually — not blast them with messages they didn't ask for. That philosophy hasn't changed.

If you ever feel like we're communicating too much, too often, or in a way that doesn't feel right — tell me directly. I'd rather lose a subscriber than lose your trust.
